Ronnie runs a Disco walking tour with his son, Brayden. When a sexy woman takes the tour, it begins a competition between father and son for her love. It also signals the arrival of an oily strangler who stalks the streets at night.

Big Ronny and his son Big Brayden have some issues. Big Ronny loves grease and he might just be the infamous greasy strangler. Despite some arguments on the amount of grease his son puts in his foot, the two get along well enough until a woman comes between the two and that’s when a weird situation gets even weirder. The best way to describe this one is to compare it to stuff like Napoleon Dynamite. The dry humor is really on display here and at an all-time high. Add in just enough murder call it a horror movie and you have what is The Greasy Strangler. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a movie like this one and I’m pretty sure the world never will see one like it again. Cat Sick Blues kind of compares, but this one is easily in the lead with an overdose of weirdness and tons of funny lines that you’ll be quoting long after it’s over. I don’t know if a movie like this will always work or not, but it works here and it’s highly enjoyable.

The movies has tons of funny gross-out moments. Lots of old man ass and a very strange looking penis on our “Strangler”. It even has some very catchy music to go around it all. This is a cult film if ever there was one and I think everyone should give it a chance just once. Just don’t go into it thinking too much. A movie like The Greasy Strangler is a movie you want to turn your brain off with. Then again, would anyone go into a movie called The Greasy Strangler looking for some deep meaning? This movie had been on DVD before, but now it comes to Blu-ray with some extras added in for good measure. It’s a very good upgrade from the DVD and if you liked the movie and had that disc already this is a very worthy upgrade. If you haven’t seen it before, then you are in for something, unlike anything you’ve ever seen before.
