Prepare yourself for a journey through HELL as you witness the private home videos of two whacked out Vietnam Vets on a killing spree. Michael Mashburn and his former Lieutenant, Antwan Mercer shelter themselves from the world to make a new beginning. They start by abducting young men and women and torture them for their own amusement. The victims will be treated to the most vial and heinous ways you can ever imagine. Some of them they will keep and force them to join their army, but most will all die a slow and horrible death. Watch a video diary of a madman where you will not only hear about these vicious crimes, you will actually watch them as they happen!
You don’t see movie like this all the time, which may be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it. If you love the more hardcore things in horror, such as August Underground and the likes, then you will be more than happy with what you get out of a movie like this. We have a few serial killers and their home movie here. We have a lot of really graphic and stomach turning stuff to go along with it. Not to mention, probably more penis on-screen than anyone would want, but there is a lot of female nudity as well. The story is light, but I’m willing to bet most people who go into this won’t be looking for story, they will be looking to be shocked and they’ll get that if nothing else from Amerikan Holokaust. It won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, it probably wasn’t my cup of tea, but you still have to respect the boundaries that they were able to break with something like that. If they wanted to accomplish making a movie that makes you feel like you need to take a shower after you watch it, they more than accomplish that with this.
While I can admit that some of the stuff that takes place in this movie isn’t what I’d call a good time in front of the DVD players, I will still admit that credit needs to be given to the movie’s crazy killers. Our Vietnam vets who are clearly a few fries short of happy meal give great performances in the middle of all the mayhem here. You’d believe that the actors might very well be as insane in real life and perhaps they are. Who can say? There is some nice effects here and there, we get some very nasty things that you might not want to keep an eye on, and there is a basic plot that clears the way for everyone to just be very nasty. There is a level of horror films in the nature of those Guinea Pig films and the likes that this one is right at home with. If you are not into those sorts of movies, then you probably won’t be all that into this. It may be hard to finish if you are not into those things. If you are, then this is one you’ll want to have in the collection because of how gnarly it gets.
