A young woman obsessed with horror subjects herself to hours of grueling torment inside an extreme haunt in an attempt to confront her fears and conquer the tragic past that haunts her.

I admit that Extremity was a slow burn, but I also admit that this movie turned out to be one the best films I’ve seen in a while and shocked me with how well it actually turned out to be. The story is about a place that pushed people to the limit and goes to extremes to help them get over things that are troubling them. Well, our lead happens to go there for help and what happens next is a series of things that she along with us have to figure out if it’s all part of the show or more sinister. This then leads to an extremely bloody finale and a movie that might shock people with the extremes that it actually does manage to go to. You may be left with more than a couple of questions but you’ll also really enjoy what you get here overall.

If you are a fan of gore, this movie does bring the goods in that area. If you want a solid lead, I think Dana Christina is great in this role and you really do feel sorry for her at times. Of course, this is also a movie that likes to play around with the viewer’s emotions as well a time or two, with plenty of twists and turns along the way. Extremity seems to be a movie that is getting a hard time on the IMDB ranking system but don’t let that bug you because I think this movie is way better than what the site says. All in all, I think we get enough here to warrant a spot on my year-end top 10 list.
