It is once again that time, folks! The yearly Top 20 Horror list comes with not a day to spare. Remember, if something is missing it means either I didn’t like it as much as you or I simply might not have seen it. After all, I can’t see everything! And of course, it is just one man’s opinion…
19: THE FINAL GIRLS
15: CALL GIRL OF CTHULHU
14: WYRMWOOD: ROAD OF THE DEAD
13: A CHRISTMAS HORROR STORY
12: THE DEMON’S ROOK
11: THE HARVEST
One could call the plot delivery a bit weak, but it is near impossible to watch Deathgasm and not have a blast. Mix in some metal, cool characters, and gore makes it a hard one to not enjoy.
09: GOODNIGHT MOMMY
It might be a movie that lives or dies based on a twist, but this solid and creepy movie at least tricks most who see it by the twist.
I may get some crap over this one, but this is just my type of insane horror cinema. It might not be for everyone, but it beats most the crap we see these days that are trying overly hard to be over the top.
It’s a monster story, it’s a love story, and it is just the type of different that the world of horror needs.
I’m a fan of The Vicious Brothers and this one exceeded any expectation I had going into it. If you dig crazy alien stuff, you’ll want to see this.
05: TURBO KID
This one walks a line between horror and something else, it may actually lean towards that something else more, but when you get this type of gore and violence you just can’t leave it off your list.
04: IT FOLLOWS
Probably the best horror film ever made that is probably a metaphor for an S.T.D., if it is actually about something else, then I got nothing. But it was different, creepy, and a whole lot of fun.
03: THE EDITOR
Astron-6 done did it again! Mixing everything you love about Astron-6 and everything you love about Italian horror movies, you can’t go wrong with this one.
02: TALES OF HALLOWEEN
2015 brought us this insane horror anthology that will now take its place along side Trick r Treat and Halloween for essential October viewing.
01: WE ARE STILL HERE
You want legit scary? We Are Still Here is legit scary. A movie that breaks the norm for horror these days and gives us some very familiar horror faces to enjoy while it does it.
