People from porn movies need to act in real movies to ya know?
Bloodlust Zombies (2011)
Directed By: Dan Lantz
There seems to be a trend of porn stars popping up in movies that aren’t XXX material these days. And I am well OK with it if they can pull off the roles. We got one here in, Bloodlust Zombies. A nasty (but not too nasty) little story about a lot of lab work gone wrong and the virus that comes from it. Kinda like that “Rage” thing from another well known movie that doesn’t have a porn star in it, but has pissed off beings running around (clearly not making them zombies) eating people. Or ripping away at people, whichever way you like to word it. None the less, it’s pretty fun for what it’s worth.
A military weapons manufacturer creates a chemical weapon that causes victims to become blood-lusting killers. A lab accident causes the building to go into lock-down and the employees are trapped inside with the crazed killers. And even with the word “Zombie” in the title, I’m more leaning towards calling these people infected because that kinda just what it is. I have a golden rule with zombies. They gotta be coming back from the dead. People getting infected and going into a rage didn’t make me change my mind in 28 Days Later and this won’t make me change my mind here. But the movie is pretty funny in some parts..And a little over the top in others, but who’s counting?
I guess I can’t go too long here without bringing it up. And nothing you read about this movie seems to want to talk about anything else. But yes, one of the stars of this film is named Alexis Texas, and yes she is an adult film star. Or a “porn star” if you prefer. And even with that being the case I think it’s OK to say she sticks out for good reasons here and seems to fit right in with the other actors. And who knows, perhaps one of the others has done a porn movie as well, I dunno. But I don’t care what they do, if they can cut it in a horror movie that’s all that matters to me. People who don’t do porn suck it up in these things all the time. And I will say while Miss Texas might not with an Oscar, she isn’t that shabby here. So we can we all get passed that point now?
This movie is another comedy horror films and it doesn’t even try to hide it. While it packs some cool gore and some pretty funny moments, I must say it does jump the gun a little at other times. But that’s not to say it ruins the film or anything, it just kinda makes you roll your eyes a little. But then again, as I said already, there is some cool gore moments as well that keep those eyes set back on the screen. Also, there a chick getting naked a couple times too. Soo yeah, a lot of dudes watching (and some girls) will be keeping their eyeballs on that if nothing else.
The movie is well paced and it doesn’t seem to take it’s self too seriously. It has a few serious moments but they don’t really stand out too badly with the rest. It may end up being one of those “love it or hate it” movies, but I think it will keep the crowd giddy if you watch it with a group of people. Outside a couple annoying characters (Alexis Texas’ character isn’t one of them), I found the movie to be good harmless fun that could be worth checking out if you are bored and want to get a bit of a laugh. Maybe a little Anti-Climatic, but perhaps they just want to set things up for a possible sequel?
If you like 28 Days Later, but you don’t feel like being that serious, then check this movie out. It’s got some campy stuff going on. It’s got some nudity. It also has some gore. So if you love stuff from the 80’s, you might even dig this too. CLICK HERE TO GO AND GET THIS while you are here if you are interested.
