From executive producer Lorne Michaels (“Saturday Night Live”) and created by and starring Emmy and Golden Globe winner Tina Fey, paired up with fellow Emmy and Golden Globe winner Alec Baldwin, “30 Rock” spotlights the relationship of quirky TV writer Liz Lemon and conservative company executive Jack Donaghy who are bound together by chaos, charisma and employment contracts. Together Jack and Liz preside over the everyday mayhem at a late-night variety show with loose cannon stars Tracy Jordan (Tracy Morgan) and Jenna Maroney (Jane Krakowski) and hapless NBC page Kenneth Parcell (Jack McBrayer).

30 Rock is an American satirical sitcom television series created by Tina Fey that originally aired on NBC from October 11, 2006, to January 31, 2013. The series, based on Fey’s experiences as head writer for Saturday Night Live, The show hits Blu-ray from Mill Creek Entertainment and you get the entire show here! There are a lot of things to like about the show, but Tina Fey was a made woman because of this show and she’s a real highlight here. She isn’t the only funny person in this as you’ll see over the show’s 136 episodes, but she was made into what she is today in a great part to this show. It’s hard to find a show that is legit funny and I’d say that is an area that this show strived in, it was legit funny.

This is a show that gives you some fast and more times than not, sharp humor. If you like what makes up the modern form of comedy shows, then this is a show for you. A lot of shows you see and enjoy today are what they are because of this show. You get a lot of guest stars on this show as well. You never know just who you might see. We even have Opray in this thing. It also mastered the art of having running gags. Things are brought up and then brought up again. Sometimes you might even have to wait a bit for a payoff to something, but that makes it all the more fun. While the extras here are ported over from old DVDs, you at least get the show in top form in HD and that makes it very much worth buying in my opinion. Mill Creek did a great job with this.
