Cursed Films is a five-part documentary series which explores the myths and legends behind some of Hollywood’s notoriously “cursed” horror film productions. From plane accidents and bombings during the making of The Omen, to the rumored use of real human skeletons on the set of Poltergeist, these stories are legendary amongst film fans and filmmakers alike. But where does the truth lie?

Cursed Films is a series on Shudder that I have already watched long before I actually got this Blu-ray of the series. But if you haven’t seen this series before, rest a sure just about every “cursed” movie you’ve heard of is talked about here and some are talked about a bit more than others. We go from The Exorcist to The Crow and just about every place in between. We talk about the curses that hang above the head of such movies like Poltergeist and the tragic events that took place around such movies as The Twilight Zone. So, if you are looking for info on movies you might have heard were cursed, you will more than likely be able to find it here in this series and on this Blu-ray.

If we have a downside to this show it might be the lack of new information. Yes, it’s cool to see people talking about this stuff but at the end of the day, I’m not sure we ever really hear any new information of the movies that anyone who’s been looking up information on these movies online don’t already know. It’s still fun to see playout and be talked about, but I think being a big conspiracy guy that I had heard most of every theory or event that was talked about here in these five episodes. After having seen the live-action story of all of these things again on this disc, I think the Omen episode might just be the one with the most weight behind the cursed theory. It had some weird stuff going on and it might be the best episode on the series.
