Deathstroke: Knights & Dragons offers a new take on the Deathstroke legacy. Mercenary and master assassin Slade Wilson leads two lives: one as the relentless killer known as Deathstroke, and the other as a dedicated family man. When these worlds collide, forced together by the vicious terror group known as H.I.V.E., it is the killer in Slade who must fight to save his loved ones, as well as what remains of himself. With his soul torn apart and his young son held captive, Deathstroke will have to atone for the sins of his past to fuel the battles of his future!

We all love Marvel’s Deadpool but years, before he came around DC had Deathstroke. Slade Wilson is an anti-hero who has ninja skills and healing powers and we’ve seen in him comic form as well as on the Arrow TV show. He was set to be in the live-action DCU and while that might be up in the air we at least have him here in this animated form with Deathstroke: Knights & Dragons. After his attempt to save his son leaves his son mute we go ten years down the road where now he must save his son from a group known as The Hive and believe me it comes with lots of twists and turns along the way. If you are used to the DC animated movies being one of the best things about DC these days you will be happy to know this one keeps the same quality and is a very interesting story with lots of blood and violence to go along with it. Deathstroke is a very interesting character and this one plays a good part in fleshing that out a little with his family and such.

This also features Jericho, The Jackle, and a whole host of other characters from the DC Universe that you’ll only really know if you are a fan of Deathstroke and are keen on his history. The movie comes with a nice pace, lots of action, and an adult nature to it that makes for a great watch that I did enjoy from start to finish not to even mention once again the blood that came with it. The only downside here is we never get any Batman, Superman, or any other big DC character regardless of how hostel and big the plot gets. Not sure if following the Apocalypse animated movie if this is part of the new flashpoint or took place before all of that. All that aside, this is good stuff.

  • Deathstroke: One-Man Death Machine (New Featurette)– Some think he’s a villain. To others, he’s an unsung hero of secret wars fought all over the world. One thing’s for certain: When you see the orange-and-black mask, Deathstroke is coming!
  • Optional English SDH subtitles
