From the warped and deranged mind of one of Italy’s foremost purveyors of top quality sleaze, Andrea Bianchi (Burial Ground, Strip Nude for Your Killer), comes one of the most shocking and blasphemous pieces of sexploitation cinema ever made: MALABIMBA. Co-starring Giancarlo Del Duca (Giallo A Venezia), Patricia Webley (Play Motel), and Mariangela Girodano (Patrick Still Lives), Vinegar Syndrome is proud to give this notorious, hardcore Exorcist riff its worldwide Blu-ray debut, newly restored in 2K from its original 16mm camera negative and presented here in its fully uncut and uncensored, 100 minute version.

If the more sleazy days of film making was a race, Malabimba would probably have been the one that came out on top in that area. Featuring a story that tosses together not only some seance stuff but religion and erotic moments, Malabimba comes across to me as the type of movie that some people probably won’t want to watch because they would be worried about going to Hell for it or feeling they have to ask for some divine forgiveness once they have seen it. I don’t know about all of that but I do know this one made me feel like I needed to take a shower after it all was over. I figured this one would be some grade A smut, but I was shocked at times with how far this one would go to win the sleaze race of the ’70s. Vinegar Syndrome brings it to us in glorious HD and tops the previous only watchable version of the film out there going by screenshots I saw in Severin’s old DVD release. So, if you want to see some strange and questionable stuff in it’s fullest form, this is the Blu-ray for you.

If you don’t know this movie follows a girl who does some pretty awful things from time to time. I don’t want to go into details and spoil the fun, but this girl does some awful stuff with people who are related to her, so she totally shouldn’t be doing that. Of course, this all starts when her mother dies at the start of the movie from the seance I already mentioned. It gets even more downhill from all there, but that downhill is only in the subject matter of the plot, the movie remains totally watchable giving off that overall feeling of just being down-right dirty. Toss in a pretty hot Nun to top everything off and this movie is nothing short of atmospheric, to say the least. I hate to admit it, but I enjoyed it for what it was, but I know a lot of folks probably won’t be able to look at themselves in the mirror the next day if they manage to make it from start to finish here. This is pure smut, but fun smut in general.
