Rich, arrogant and married, Richard has invited his lover Jen to his luxury retreat for a romantic getaway. Their plans are interrupted however by the sudden early arrival of his two sleazy ‘associates’ for their hunting trip. Their initial leering advances turn much uglier, culminating in a brutal assault and Jen left for dead in the desert.

Revenge is a movie that I wanted to see from the moment it came out. I even bought the DVD at Wal-Mart, having to get the DVD because Wal-Mart apparently didn’t have the Blu-ray IN store. Well, Second Sight in the UK is releasing the most special edition of this movie you could have on Blu-ray with the only downside being it is region B LOCKED. That doesn’t bother me, but I’m sure it could suck for those of you without the ability to watch it regardless. None the less, Revenge is a movie that you kind of have to turn your brain off to watch and not overthink about it too much. We follow a young lady on a getaway with her fellow and his creepy friends. Stuff happens and she’s left for dead, but fear not, she’s out for revenge! Let’s forget the fact that something happens where she shouldn’t even be alive much less looking for revenge but I’m going to ignore that and I advise all of you to do the same. Why? Because logic or no logic, this movie is freakin’ awesome, folks! And was on my top ten list for best movies of the year it came out.

This movie is a whole lot of fun and it has a great lead. She’s naked one minute and blowing people away with a gun the next! It’s basically I Spit on Your Grave for this generation and it’s a lot better if you ask me. This is a violent movie that deserves all the respect it is getting from this release and I say that as a man that could just be blinded by the hot lead and all the gore. I wasn’t sure what to expect from this one when I first saw it advertise on Joe Bob Briggs return to TV but I got more than expected watching it and I start to like it more and more the more I see it. Revenge is awesome and if you have a way to watch this one and you are in America then you should for sure import it over and add this great release of a great movie to your collection.
