Senior year is going to rule! Thanks to her relationship with clueless hunk Skyler, Sara is totally in with the cool girls. But Skyler contracted an extraterrestrial bug during his summer vacation. After just one night together, Sara discovers she’s Nine. Months. Pregnant. Desperate to keep her condition on the DL, she turns to the only person she can trust: her nerdy ex-bestie, Hayley. The girls soon realize this alien problem is only just the beginning. Aliens had best beware in this hilarious comedy filled with action and tongue-in-cheek

Having a baby is a scary thing! It especially is if you have sex one night and wake up basically 9 months pregnant the next day. That’s basically what happens here in Snatchers and half the fun is trying to figure out just what our lead is pregnant with and what the guy who knocked her up had wrong with him to cause that! This one started out just a little rough at first. The characters as a whole weren’t really likable and they come packed with some weird lingo that I’m sure all the young folks these days want to talk with. After you get passed that and you toss in the blood that this one can have, it ends up being pretty darn good fun. We see our lead and her former best friend on a mission to stop what she just gave birth to and their almost parasite controlling ways. It gets a little wild and it gets a little silly, but it remains fun and has a none-stop pace for the most part. I actually ended up liking it pretty well.

And that credit goes to the cast. Our main lead comes across pretty snobby at first but you warm up to her as she becomes a better person under the pressure of basically saving the world. Her friend and then their group they have to help them as a whole becomes a lot of fun and you also are never really too sure how this one is going to end-up before the end. It becomes a very solid comedic horror flick with enough good stuff in it for me to say you should probably check it out if you like a little comedy tossed into your horror. It also leaves the door wide open for another movie. I’m not sure how I feel about that as it seems to be pretty well served up as a one and done in my book but they might prove me wrong down the line. None the less, Snatchers is good and it’s a good bit of bloody fun. Check it out!
