It was the best of years it was the worst of years! 2019 is in the books and all that is left now is for me to finally give you my Best and Worst Horror movies list of the year that was!

10: 47 Meters Down: Uncaged

This is one of those movies that you watch and ask yourself what the whole point of even making it was.

09: Clownado

It feels like someone got drunk and said something funny. Then they had to be bothered with coming up with some sorta plot for it.

08: Trick

We might have a good slasher somewhere in Trick but it’s buried under a whole lot of crap and annoying moments.

07: Gags the Clown

It might not be the worst movie of the year, but it probably disappointed me the most.

06: Robert Reborn

I’m not sure why they keep making Robert movies, but they aren’t getting any better!

05: The Gallows Act II

I didn’t mind The Gallows, but Act II takes all that goodwill and tosses it out the window in a hurry.

04: Critters Attack

Making a new Critters movie wasn’t the worst idea in the world but this one goes way off the rails in a hurry and never recovers.

03: The Dead Don’t Die

This movie might be a little too “woke” for its own good.

02: The Prodigy

This one plays out just how you expect it to and that is very unfortunate.

01: I Spit on Your Grave: Deja Vu

This is a class in what NOT to do with a classic as this one takes everything good about the original movie and spits as well as takes a piss all over it. This could be the worst movie of the entire decade.

10: 3 from Hell

Now hear me out on this one! I know some were a little let down by 3 From Hell but if you stop comparing it to the other two that came before it I don’t think you’ll see it as being that bad. I think this is one that everyone will like more down the road.

09: Red Letter Day

I’m a sucker for a movie with a new concept and Red Letter Day has that on top of some nice gore!

08: Tennessee Gothic

An indie movie that proves that less can be more. A movie that uses an interesting plot and a great cast to go along way!

07: I’ll Take Your Dead

A family that gets rid of bad people’s dead that comes complete with a young girl that can see the dead. That’s some creepy stuff and I enjoyed this one greatly.

06: Escape Room

This is another one I might get some crap for but I really liked this one. It was sort of like a SAW movie but with enough twists and turns to keep it interesting.

05: Child’s Play

The only thing really wrong with this one is it got the name “Child’s Play”. Under any other name, I think people would have appreciated this one for what it is. That being a very fun time.

04: Nightmare Cinema

A solid anthology with a nice wrap around to tie it all together. I think this one might be one of the biggest surprises of the year as far as horror movies go.

03: Bliss

A prime example of horror on acid! This one goes balls to the wall at times and you never have a clue how it will turn out.

02: Midsommer

A lot of people online love this one but a lot of friends of mine weren’t very into it. I’d go as far as to say some of my closest friends hated it. While not a party movie at all, Midsommer is a moody little number that draws from a lot of different emotions at different times.

01: Ready or Not

A great lead and a great plot made this one the most fun I had watching a horror movie all year. It comes with great kills, great twists, and a bloody good time.
