A young married couple buys a beautiful house on several acres of land, only to find out that the man they bought it from refuses to let go of the property.

The Intruder tells the story of a man who has to part with his house after his wife has already died in by very questionable means. The thing is when the new people get the house they seem to be getting that man with it no matter if they want it that way or not. He can’t let go and soon he takes interest in the new owner’s wife and that’s what the movie deals with. I will give it all the credit in the world not only for the performance of Dennis Quaid (who I have never seen be soo creepy) but for the tension the movie builds along the way. This one keeps you on the edge of your seat from time to time and that goes a very long way.

Meagan Good also does a great job in this one in her role as the wife of the new owner. I think the acting is a very key thing here in this movie and it keeps things rolling and ultimately makes The Intruder what it ends up being. I’m not saying it is a groundbreaking movie by any means but it is a solid film that knows what it is doing and makes sure to try to get the audience watching a little nervous along the way. While it is a nice and very watchable thriller, I do believe the biggest thing most folks will be taking away from it once they see it is how weird and creepy Dennis Quaid is. I feel he’s the MVP of the movie and a reason alone to see it.
