The new science teacher Dr. Julian Olcott with a mysterious past arrives in an institutional boarding school for troublemaker girls. Along the night, the intern Mary Smith, who is blackmailing another teacher – Sir Alfred Whiteman – with some love letters, is slaughtered by a werewolf. The detective in charge of the investigation attributes the crime to a wolf, while her mate Priscilla believes she was killed by Sir Alfred. On the next days, other deaths happen in the school, reducing the list of suspects…

There are just some movies that work great for a midnight viewing. It might be the tone, the plot, or the fact it comes made in a classic black and white, but Werewolf in a Girls’ Dormitory is a movie that just seems to be perfect for a dark night with some rain falling outside your window while it is on. The movie in question here is a part monster movie, part mystery, part creature feature of sorts. I had a lot of fun with this one I think if you dig stuff that is just old school that has more plot than bells and whistles you will as well. It holds your attention and does some pretty cool things that might not be something you were used to seeing at the time.

This is the first time you’ve gotten this version of the film on Blu-ray. It’s uncut in a very solid HD transfer. It’s a transfer that really fits the eerie vibe this one gives off. You also get the added bonus of the CD soundtrack that comes with it. I’m a fan of Italian movies and this is a very Italian horror flick with some Gothic vibes and keep things creepy from start to finish. You can never have enough Werewolf movies and this is one fan of the subject matter should totally see. Just try saving it for a late rainy night to get the full effect of what this one has to offer.
