This hard-hitting release from the classic ’70s TV series Wonder Woman starring Lynda Carter includes all 59 episodes of the show, following the adventures of the titular Amazon superhero, who fights crime, corruption, and evil, all while keeping her true origin and the powers it afford her a careful secret.

Now I wasn’t born in the 70s but when I was a kid in the 80s Wonder Woman was still playing on TV. And when it was on I’d sit there and watch the Wonder Woman TV show right along with stuff like the Adam West Batman and Marvel’s The Hulk. Even as a kid I loved the Wonder Woman TV show. And I loved Wonder Woman herself, Lynda Carter. It might be a case of you just having to be there but I think Lynda Carter did so good in this role that it took me until I saw Batman vs Superman to accept Gal Gadot in the role. But here we have the show that started it all and the show that might even have did more than the comics in making me such a big fan of the Wonder Woman character. Is this a show that is going to be dated by today’s standards? Yes, but it’s also a show that will keep you watching and interested in each and every episode. TV was just made different back in the day and now with this box set, you can see it all for yourself.

So, what do you get here in this complete Wonder Woman collection? You will get 59 fully restored and in HD episodes and each of them does look very nice if I do say so myself. You will also get the basically feature-length pilot episode that even packs and an audio commentary featuring Lynda Carter herself. That’s not the only commentary you get and that’s also not the only extras you get either. There are some really cool featurettes here and one is a heck of retrospective on the character of Wonder Woman. If you are a life long fan of Wonder Woman or just a new fan of the character and want to see what really started it all, then you will want to add this to your collection ASAP. This is the type of release that makes the DC home releases such great buys. They have done some great Blu-ray sets and this one is another must-own release.

  • Pilot Movie commentary by Lynda Carter and executive producer Douglas S. Cramer and a 3 episode commentary by Lynda Carter
  • 3 fabulous featurettes:
Beauty, Brawn and Bulletproof Bracelets: A Wonder Woman Retrospective
Revolutionizing a Classic: From Comic Book to Television
Wonder Woman: The Ultimate Feminist Icon
  • Optional English SDH subtitles for every episode

Quality of Transfer: 97%
